Brittany Hailey

Director of Sales & Marketing

BORN IN:

Scottsdale, Arizona

A SCENT RELATED MEMORY FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD:

Campfire. I grew up in Arizona and spent a lot of time in the forests around Pinetop and Flagstaff camping, fishing and hiking. The best memories from my childhood took place around a campfire, including the time I lit a marshmallow on fire and then flung it at my little brothers face.

FAVORITE ESSENTIAL OIL NOW, AND WHY:

Lemongrass – It reminds me of my time living in South East Asia and it is such an uplifting and bright scent. It takes me back to the food and smells that I loved so much in that part of the world.

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO RIGHT NOW:

Ben Howard , Nathaniel Rateliff and Cat Stevens. I mean, I’m always listening to Cat Stevens, because I’m a hardheaded woman and oh baby, baby it’s a wild world.

YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOU:

My intuition. I always have an initial feeling about a person or situation that steers me in the right direction. Some things just don’t feel right to me, and I know it is that inner-compass kicking in! Also, I am unapologetically myself. Sometimes, to the embarrassment of my husband, I speak my mind a tad too much!

PETS?

My two cats, Antigone (Annie) and Wellington (Welly). When they are not molding their furry bodies into a scarf around my neck in the mornings, they are catching the mice from outside our house in Carbondale and politely bringing them inside and setting them loose.

FAVORITE MEMORY OF YOUR MOM:

When she made me miss my sophomore year homecoming dance to hike the 10 miles down to Havasupai falls. I was so mad. But it was the most beautiful experience in the most magical place. I am so happy I was able to see it before the floods changed it forever. Who remembers High School dances anyways?

DEATH ROW MEAL:

Fish and chips from The Chippery in Wellington, New Zealand followed by a thick chocolate shake. Oh, and definitely washed down with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc from my favorite New Zealand vineyard, Poppies.
