Senior E-Commerce Manager


Osmia’s mission is making natural skincare effective and enjoyable. In support of this mission, our Senior eCommerce Marketing Manager will:

  • Leverage exceptional critical thinking abilities, strong business acumen, and a passion for data to impact customer experience and help refine our direct-to-consumer strategy
  • Own developing, maintaining, and leveraging website analytics and functionality to guide customer experience improvements, operational decision making, and strategy

Duties include:

  • Driving best-in-class Osmia website user experience by ensuring functional infrastructure is in place to support optimal customer journeys, offering deep analysis to investigate hypotheses, and sharing high-level business insights with company leadership
  • Leading day-to-day operations of the website including merchandising, personalization, executing promotions, optimizing landing pages and site search, maintaining site architecture, assessing and managing related apps
  •  Analyzing e-commerce sales and marketing efforts, defining critical KPIs in partnership with company leadership and providing regular reporting, web analytics, and voice of the customer data to inform forecasting, SKU management, product development, budgeting, and promotions strategy including digital advertising

  • Identifying and executing on advertising and promotion opportunities that align with brand communication guidelines to drive site visitation, convert site users to purchasers, increase average order value, incentivize repeat purchase, and cultivate long-term relationships with customers. Develop a deep data driven understanding of customer shopping behavior movements throughout our website and social channels.

  • Managing digital marketing strategy to optimize ROI for display, paid social, and paid search marketing, understanding correct timing to apply different strategies to cohorts of customers in connection with our promotions calendar and collaborating with Creative Manager to obtain assets needed, judiciously testing predictions to build understanding of how to best connect with customer segments. May include some analysis of affiliate or other programs.

  • Managing email marketing strategy to optimize open rates, click-through rates, and conversions, including detailed segmentation of customer list based on past purchases and ongoing analysis of segmented and mass email campaigns. Includes detailed campaign strategy and collaboration with Creative Manager to obtain necessary assets for email campaigns.

  • Managing Osmia site experience improvement projects and development in collaboration with the Marketing Team, Operations Team, platform support teams (Shopify, app, and other), and external web developers, and also provide testing, quality assurance and signoff for all site functionality

  • Identifying new tools, potential partners, and capabilities that may be a fit for our brand, investigate and develop strategies to evolve the digital consumer experience

  • Assess SEO data and coordinate with Creative Manager to ensure merchandising assets and deliverables are optimized for organic and paid search performance, collaborate cross-functionally with regard to product development

  • Understand complimentary business channels and contribute to managing and shaping the digital ecosystem that includes e-commerce retail partners, including third party or retail partner data in overall analysis of performance

  • Develop the website management team internally and externally, providing regular guidance and coaching to lead in-house employees and external partners to align on goals and deliver results. Lead hiring and training, coaching, and career development of Interns or Analysts to support data needs of the team.


Desired attributes:

  • Comfortable working in an unstructured environment, taking ownership for results and self-directing your efforts to the subject areas and questions which have the greatest potential impact on the business

  • Proven track record of or strong desire to be personally accountable for the analysis and proposals that drive a business at a large scale, with high consequence

  • Ability to move fast, decide which issues need to be prioritized on any given day, and passion for doing your part to drive the business forward. Prior P&L ownership experience a plus.

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Information Systems, or Marketing (with an analytic focus) from a top educational institution or other quantitative fields with relevant business experience also considered

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills

  • Working knowledge of the core social media platforms, especially as they relate to and integrate with e-commerce.

  • Experience with analyzing large data sets, data modeling, data mining, and predictive analysis - a passion for the numbers and discovering the story they tell.

  • Experience in eCommerce preferred, including experience working in relevant platforms and comfort with software systems, technical requirements, and interfacing with developers. Fast growing CPG/food brand experience a plus.

  • Experience in email marketing, including technical aspects of email marketing platforms.

  • Command of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, and G-suite

Note regarding physical demands:

To perform the essential functions of this job successfully, employees are regularly required to stand, reach, handle small objects, sit, walk, kneel, or crouch. Employees may lift and/or move up to 20 pounds in the regular course of business, and may occasionally lift and/or move more weight with another team member. Employees in this position must be able to complete computer work for extended periods of time, which may require sitting or standing for extended periods, focusing on a screen, and controlling a mouse or using a trackpad. Safety masks must be worn during any activities that generate dust or fumes and ventilation must be on. Ear protection may be worn during loud activities. Employees are required to follow safety measures while performing daily work and learn new safety procedures as our equipment and work space evolve. All unvaccinated Osmia employees are currently wearing masks when working in shared spaces as recommended by public health guidelines, and there may be future periods when all employees are required to wear masks to maintain team safety. Our workplace must be free of synthetic fragrances, from laundry detergent to perfume to hair care, as well as any tobacco smoke residue.


Full-time hours are 40 hours a week plus some occasional overtime in this position. Benefits currently include a 75% or higher contribution to monthly premiums for health insurance, annual wellness stipend, and paid time off that scales with years of service plus over ten company holidays annually in addition to a paid year-end break.

Job Type: Full-time, in-house is preferred. Remote work considered for the right candidate, but must live in Colorado and be willing to make regular trips to our offices. 

Pay: Dependent on experience, generally starting at $60,000-$110,000 annual salary + benefits and bonus opportunity
